Usually, we spend our time trying to color in the lines, using every means possible not to get polish on our cuticles. This year during NYFW, there was a style that broke all of the polish rules… Glittle Cuticles! Tracylee, Lead Artist of the show, crafted this out-of-the-box style at the Rodarte SS17 show at NYFW. We can’t help but love this off beat style and think about what is next in the world of nail art.
With sheer style and elements of sparkle, the Rodarte show showcased an embellished, Victorian, 70’s feel. There was leather, lace, studs and sequins lining the runway, paired with asymmetric earrings, cuffs, and bangles. With lush fabrics, texture, and elaborated features and fun shades, the glitter nail was the perfect accessory to streamline the design.
To get the look, nail artist Tracylee applied a neutral pink (New School Nude, Morgan Taylor) over the entire nail and then used a brush to create a fine line of glitter around the cuticle in Glitter & Gold by Morgan Taylor.
